The original Swedish identity card can be purchased online. The biometric identity document issued in Sweden is the Swedish identity card (Swedish: nationalt identitetskort). It is only given to Swedish citizens and serves as proof of their citizenship. People who travel internationally often carry the card with them, but it is also the most commonly used card among Swedish citizens who have not yet obtained a driver’s license.
The ID card has a contact chip that can be used as an electronic identity card (eID) in the future, as well as a contactless RFID chip in the lower right corner of the back, which contains a digital version of the printed data and the holder’s photo. The card allows you to travel to and stay in countries within the European Union. The Finnish passport is required for travel outside the European Union.
